We have never been more grateful for our furry friends than we are now during these unique times! Dogs are called man’s best friend for a reason, and there are tons of parks nearby to take them out for walks and to have fun playing with other dogs. Read on for a list of our favorite nearby dog parks in Atlanta!

Freedom Barkway Dog Park

Freedom Barkway is a fantastic dog park run by a non-profit. This park has been serving the needs of the Old Fourth Ward community and providing a fun and safe environment for both humans and dogs to enjoy. This well maintained park features two acres of green space for your dogs to explore off-leash, conveniently located in the heart of the Old Fourth Ward. Take a stroll with fido today, Freedom Barkway is just 7 minutes away!

Piedmont Dog Park

Piedmont Park is one of the prettiest parks in Atlanta, with a massive amount of history spanning two centuries since 1822. Not only is this a great location to sight see, shop, exercise, and recreate – it also has one of the best dog parks in Atlanta! This off leash dog park is just 8 minutes away from Broadstone Midtown, and is one of the most popular features of Piedmont Park. There’s a whopping three acres for your dogs to roam, separate enclosures for large and small dogs, new trails, benches and restrooms for dog owners, shaded areas and dog water spickets, and weekend concessions with Dog Popsicles!

Atlantic Station Dog Park

Atlantic Station Dog Park is another great off-leash park nearby, though it is smaller than some of the other parks on this list. They have some shallow bone shaped pools for dogs to cool off, and nice turf to run around on. This popular Midtown dog park is nestled near shops and restaurants so you can easily go from the dog park to dinner!

Fetch Park

Just 9 minutes away from Broadstone Midtown is Fetch Park! This is the most unique park on the list as it is Atlanta’s first  full service bar and dog park. Inspired by a love for sports and dogs, this bar/park is designed after a rustic minor league ballpark. It is by far our favorite place to relax and enjoy some quality time with our furry friends! Featuring outdoor televisions, wifi throughout the park, cooling stations, a dog bath area, and more!  Come see for yourself why folks love this Atlanta dog park, you don’t even need a dog to enter.
