It’s Autumn in Atlanta and that means the weather is changing and the leaves are falling. But that doesn’t mean fun date nights are behind us! Summer may seem like the best time for exploring Atlanta and dining out with your significant other, but here’s a few Fall date night ideas that are sure to change your mind.

Dinner with a view at Canoe

Dinner and a movie is a classic date idea, but dinner with a view of the Chattahoochee River takes date night to a new level. Tucked away in a romantic oasis, Canoe was inducted into the Nation’s Restaurant News 2005 Fine Dining Hall of Fame, and offers a unique date experience that is worthy of the induction. On the dinner menu, you and your date will find a variety of flavorful entrees, ranging from pork chop and salmon to basil crusted cod and a burger with a fried egg. Worthy of the price and the drive, this hidden treasure makes date night feel like a celebratory event worthy of a bottle of wine and dessert, and just might end up being your new favorite restaurant.

Skate the Night Away

With Fall comes the holidays, and with the holidays comes ice skating rinks throughout Atlanta! Talk about a picture perfect date night; warm up with some hot cocoa then take your pick of where you’d like to shred some ice! Some local favorites include The Rink at Park Tavern or Skate the Sky at Ponce City Market. Ponce City Market provides a particularly unique date night skating experience with a rooftop rink and cozy igloos (yes, igloos!) that you can reserve ahead of time and relax in after you are done skating!

Double Date Escape Room

Haven’t seen your friends in a while? Why not plan a double date night and invite your another couple to join you and your loved one for a night out on the town! Start with cocktails and maybe a bite to eat, then work together in one of Atlanta’s escape room experiences. If you’ve never tried one, they are a fun challenge that is even better (and really only possible) with a group of people. What better way to spend date night than locked in a room with your closest friends and a couple of clues, and trying to figure out how to escape? Sounds like the perfect double date to us!
